Minecraft is one of the most popular games and this course combines fun play and learning! During class, students will be able to code “hacks” and model the world around them using the programming!
Classes are tailored to students’ interests, and the appropriate age range is 10-13 years old.
No prior preparation is needed, students learn everything they need on the spot with us, and then practice it in game!
We use Minecraft Education Edition throughout the course.
Topics covered in the course
During the course, students will learn to program the world around them using multiple programming instructions such as loops, conditions, functions, variables, and more.
The Minecraft Programming course includes:
- Data types, data structures, variables, arrays and logical operations.
- Create various “hacks” and helper functions in the game.
- Working together with other students
- Creating new Minecraft worlds
Programming
There are many benefits of children learning programming. The programming that the students learn during the course is on a curriculum specifically designed and suitable for students between grades 1 and 3.
Minecraft Programming with Python (ages 10-13)
Python is an extremely powerful and popular programming language. Unlike block programming, here students will have to write code! To engage in this code it is recommended that they can type on a keyboard.
Although everything happens in-game, students will gain knowledge that they can then use outside of Minecraft programming.
Programming covers basic concepts such as condition, loop, function, switch, etc. With its help, students can intuitively understand and create working algorithms. At a later stage, everything learnt provides a very good foundation for students’ professional development in the field of information technology.

Online / 10-13 y/o / Code Minecraft
The course is 10 lessons x 90 min. It is held 1 time a week online. Groups are small – up to 10 children.
